SAHO is a non-profit, non-government association of health agencies in
Saskatchewan. Members include Saskatchewan's regional health authorities,
independent hospitals and special care homes, as well as various agencies
and associations that provide health services, education and/or regulations.

Uniquely designed to deliver acute health care, community health programs
and clinical counseling services in a holistic and integrated approach
to accessing health care, the hospital was built to replace the 70-year-old
Fort Qu'Appelle Indian Hospital (FQIH). The All Nations Healing Hospital
is one of the first health care facilities in Canada owned and operated
by First Nation governments -16 in total (5 from Touchwood Agency Tribal
Council (TATC) and 11 from File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council (FHQTC)).
Roughly 100
staff are employed at the hospital (35 for First Nations Health Services
and over 65 for acute care).Where they aim to be a student-friendly facility,
believing students are a future recruitment pool and will assist with
learning and retention for existing staff. Nursing Education Program Students
(unpaid students working as part of their curriculum), externs from the
College of Medicine, Laboratory students, local high school work experience
students and paid summer nursing students are all welcomed at the facility.

Canadian Blood Services is a not-for-profit, charitable organization operating
at arm's length from government. Its sole mission is to manage the blood
supply for Canadians. Created in 1998, it is the successor to the Canadian
Red Cross Blood Program and the Canadian Blood Agency (the former funding
arm of Canada's blood supply system).
