Haiti Relief
The January 12, 2010, earthquake that struck the island of Haiti has caused catastrophic damage and massive fatalities. The Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU) is organizing donations for health care services to help in the disaster relief efforts.
Donations are being made to Medécins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders, to provide support for the much needed front line care that is required.
We are encouraging all members to consider giving a donation to Medécins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders to show solidarity to the Haitian communities affected.
Donations may be made on line at www.msf.ca or by calling 1-800-982-7903.
Note: The federal government has committed up to $50 million to match Canadians donations to charities aiding relief efforts.
